Get on board with the Wabash & Erie Canal!

Have you ever wondered what it takes to bring Wabash & Erie Canal Park to life? Join us at the 2026 Volunteer Fair and get a behind-the-scenes look at the people and skills that make this historic site thrive. This event will take place at the Interpretive Center on April 18 from 1:00-3:00PM.

Meet the knowledgeable volunteers who keep the park running and learn about the many ways you can get involved. Opportunities include serving as a tour guide, boat crew member, gardener, historic trades artisan, historian, and more.

Volunteering is a great way to connect with your community, share your talents, and discover meaningful purpose while helping preserve local history. No prior experience is needed; our welcoming team will provide all the necessary training. All you need is a desire to make a difference.

Refreshments will be provided. Come meet the team, ask questions, and discover how you can be part of the story!
