$82.00Description: Learn weaving on historic looms! In this class, students are weaving a miniature table runner in colorful old Scandinavian pattern on a 4-shaft loom. This is a one-day class and students will take home their project with them.
When: September 21, 9:15AM – 4:15PM with a one-hour lunch (bring your own lunch).
Instructor: Instructors are members of Wabash Weavers Guild. The Wabash Weavers Guild has existed for 40 years. Ryoko Marti, the instructor, has been weaving 20 years. She retired from accounting; she “used to count money and now counts threads; it’s much more fun.” Jan Young, the instructor, wove hotpads as a child in 4-H, taught elementary school for 40 years, and now not only weaves cloth but also weaves stories at Feast of the Hunter’s Moon (since 1977).
Cost: $82.00. This cost covers registration and all necessary materials.
Skill Level: Beginner, age 12 or older.
Class Size: Minimum 1 student, maximum 2 students.
Location: The Loom House in the Canal Park Pioneer Village.
Terms and Conditions:
- Registration and payment are required at least two weeks prior to the class dates.
- All classes require pre-registration and pre-payment.
- To reserve your spot and pre-pay by check, please mail a check to Canal Park, attn: Classes, 1030 N. Washington Street, Delphi, IN 46923. Please identify your desired class(es) in the check’s memo. A fee will be charged for returned checks.
- We reserved the right to cancel classes if minimum registrations are not met. If we cancel a class, students can transfer without a penalty. A full refund (minus credit card fees) will be given to students who do not wish to transfer to another class.
- Students may cancel or transfer classes up to two weeks prior to a class without losing their payment (minus credit card fees). Deadline to register is two weeks prior to class.
- Students may cancel their registration until two weeks prior to the class date. After this two week deadline, there will be no refunds or transfers.
- If a student transfers to another class prior to the two weeks of class, a 20% transfer fee will be charged. The transfer must be for a class within one year of the original class.
