DESCRIPTION:Join your guide David McCain for a scenic and informative walk through Canal Park and to the newest exhibits under construction\, the Delphi Bayou. \nThis walk will explore the natural and historic amenities of Wabash & Erie Canal Park\, and all ages are invited to participate. There is some uneven terrain\, but the walk is otherwise mostly flat and manageable over grassy and stone surfaces. \nThe group will depart from the Wabash & Erie Canal Park Interpretive Center at 2:30pm\, and be sure to enjoy the opening festivities of Canal Season 2026 taking place the same afternoon! \nCheck out the 2026 calendar below for other nature walks happening this year:

SUMMARY:Spring Wildflower Nature Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Wabash & Erie Canal Park at 2:30pm\, April 18 and see blooming spring wildflowers. Perhaps Wild Ginger and May Apples will be in their blooming prime\, while some wildflowers like Dutchman’s Breeches may still be blooming. \nThe photo above shows White Trout Lilies blooming in a sea of their own leaves. We may also see the baby turtles that appear this time of year. \nSeasonal migrating birds are back. Perhaps we will see the Baltimore Orioles that nest at the upper end of the Towpath Trail. \nThe public\, of all ages and skill levels\, is invited to join for this guided walk. Narrating the walk will be David McCain\, and the group will depart from the Interpretive Center at 1030 N. Washington Street in Delphi.
