DESCRIPTION:It’s our grandest event of the year! We invite you to celebrate Indiana’s canal heritage and see every corner of Wabash & Erie Canal Park come to life with historic demonstrations\, canal boat rides\, music\, food\, craft vendors\, and more! Get a taste of 19th century Hoosier history and have a blast exploring the last remaining navigable section of the Wabash & Erie Canal in the state. \nCLICK HERE for the event map and park directory for Canal Days 2025.\nPark entry\, parking\, Pioneer Village\, historic trails\, and Playboat are free.\nCanal boat rides\, museum\, the Reed Case House\, and mule rides require a ticket.\n\nCanal boat tickets are $12 (ages 13+) or $6 (ages 12-under)\nMuseum tickets are $6 (ages 13+) or $2 (ages 12-under)\nReed Case House tickets are $6 (ages 13+) or $2 (ages 12-under)\nPurchase a Combo Ticket for all the above attractions and save: $20 (ages 13+) or $7 (ages 12-under)\nMule ride tickets can be purchased in person only for $2 at the Interpretive Center front desk. SUMMARY:Backpack Basket Making - June 2025
DESCRIPTION:Description: Create your own special woven backpack to carry with you on your outdoor adventures \n \nWhen: Saturday\, June 28\, 9:00AM – 1:00PM \nInstructor: Bev Larson.  Bev has been weaving since 1988 and teaching since 1999.  She loves to share her joy of basket weaving.  She has taught in many states and in the Caribbean on basket-making cruises.  Her goal is to make basket weaving fun\, relaxing and inspiring.  In 2003 she won the Eiteljorg Museum Weavers Challenge. \nCost: $94.00. This cost covers registration and all necessary materials. \nSkill Level: Beginner\, age 16 or older. \nClass size: Minimum 2\, maximum 6 students. \nLocation:  Wabash & Erie Canal Park\, Speece Picnic Shelter or wherever it is warm enough that day. \nParticipants Bring: An old towel. \nTerms and Conditions: \n\nRegistration and payment are required at least two days prior to the class dates.\nAll classes require pre-registration and pre-payment.\nTo reserve your spot and pre-pay by check\, please mail a check to Canal Park\, attn: Classes\, 1030 N. Washington Street\, Delphi\, IN 46923. Please identify your desired class(es) in the check’s memo. A fee will be charged for returned checks. \nWe reserved the right to cancel classes if minimum registrations are not met.  If we cancel a class\, students can transfer without a penalty.  A full refund (minus credit card fees) will be given to students who do not wish to transfer to another class. \nStudents may cancel or transfer classes up to two weeks prior to a class without losing their payment (minus credit card fees).  Deadline to register is two days prior to class.\nStudents may cancel their registration until two weeks prior to the class date. After this two week deadline\, there will be no refunds or transfers.\nIf a student transfers to another class prior to the two weeks of class\, a 20% transfer fee will be charged.  The transfer must be for a class within one year of the original class.
