DESCRIPTION:Help us make Canal Park look its best before winter sets in! This is a volunteer opportunity open to all ages\, skills\, and interests. Meet at the Speece Picnic Shelter in the center of the Pioneer Village at 9AM\, and join a work crew for a variety of tasks in Canal Park and its trail system. At noon\, volunteers can enjoy a free meal provided by the Delphi Psi Otes. \n\n\n\nIf you can join the fun\, please RSVP below so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone!

DESCRIPTION:Join your guide David McCain for a scenic and informative walk through the trails of Wabash & Canal Park! \nThis walk will explore one of our National Historic Register sites\, the Delphi Lime Kilns. This site is one of the few places you can see original “pot kilns” of the Canal Era where valuable limestone was once processed into useful building materials. \nAll ages are invited to participate. There is some uneven terrain\, but the walk is otherwise mostly flat and manageable over grassy and stone surfaces. \nThe group will depart from the Wabash & Erie Canal Park Interpretive Center at 2:30pm\, and be sure to explore as many trails as you can throughout the day as part of Hike the Trails Day 2026! \nCheck out the 2026 calendar below for other nature walks happening this year:
