This event will take place at the Interpretive Center on April 18 from 1:00-3:00PM. \nMeet the knowledgeable volunteers who keep the park running and learn about the many ways you can get involved. Opportunities include serving as a tour guide\, boat crew member\, gardener\, historic trades artisan\, historian\, and more. \nVolunteering is a great way to connect with your community\, share your talents\, and discover meaningful purpose while helping preserve local history. No prior experience is needed; our welcoming team will provide all the necessary training. All you need is a desire to make a difference. \nRefreshments will be provided. The Volunteer Fair will begin at 1:00PM and will include a tour of Wabash & Erie Canal Park and its facilities. Current volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and teach you something new. \nWhatever role interests you\, our volunteers will be glad to show you the ropes. Whether it’s piloting the canal boat\, greeting guests at the front desk\, researching artifacts\, or even blacksmithing or coopering\, we are excited to share what we know so we can preserve this history for visitors far and wide! \nWabash & Erie Canal Park in Delphi has been sustained for over 50 years through the efforts of volunteers of all ages and skill levels.
