SUMMARY:Advanced Spinning - Fall 2025
DESCRIPTION:Description: This class is designed for those students who have taken the Beginning Spinning Class or have some previous experience in spinning.  Students will learn to draft the wool fiber and spin it into yarn using the traditional spinning wheel.  Students may bring their own spinning wheel. Students may try an e-spinner. \n \nWhen: Saturday\, September 6\, 9:00AM – 12:30PM \nInstructor: Beth Cripe. Beth fell in love with spinning 8 years ago learning to spin from a friend.  After spinning Suri Alpaca fiber and loving it\, Beth now breeds Suri Alpacas.  She demonstrates spinning and weaving at several reenactments\, including Feast of Hunter’s Moon\, Colonial Market Days & Kohkohmah.  In 2022 & 2023\, Beth’s hand spun yarn won Judge’s Choice award at Suri Network National Fleece Show. \nCost: $63.00. This cost covers registration and all necessary materials. \nSkill Level: Requires having taken Beginning Spinning class or having some spinning experience. \nClass size: Minimum 2\, maximum 6 students. If students can bring their own spinning wheel\, capacity can increase to up to 8 students. \nLocation:  Wabash & Erie Canal Park\, Kuns Cabin \nParticipants Bring: (optional) Spinning wheels. Students are not required to bring any items. \nTerms and Conditions: \n\nRegistration and payment are required at least two weeks prior to the class dates.\nAll classes require pre-registration and pre-payment.\nTo reserve your spot and pre-pay by check\, please mail a check to Canal Park\, attn: Classes\, 1030 N. Washington Street\, Delphi\, IN 46923. Please identify your desired class(es) in the check’s memo. A fee will be charged for returned checks. \nWe reserved the right to cancel classes if minimum registrations are not met.  If we cancel a class\, students can transfer without a penalty.  A full refund (minus credit card fees) will be given to students who do not wish to transfer to another class. \nStudents may cancel or transfer classes up to two weeks prior to a class without losing their payment (minus credit card fees).  Deadline to register is two weeks prior to class.\nStudents may cancel their registration until two weeks prior to the class date. After this two week deadline\, there will be no refunds or transfers.\nIf a student transfers to another class prior to the two weeks of class\, a 20% transfer fee will be charged.  The transfer must be for a class within one year of the original class.
