SUMMARY:Advanced Spinning Class - Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:Description: Students will learn to spin using foot-powered spinning wheel\, and spin wool.  This is for those who have taken an Intro to Spinning Class or have some spinning experience.  You may bring your own spinning wheel or use one of the teacher’s. \n \nWhen: Saturday\, October 12\, 9:00AM – 12:30PM. \nInstructor: Beth Cripe. Beth Cripe fell in love with spinning 8 years ago learning to spin from a friend.  After spinning Suri Alpaca fiber and loving it\, Beth now breeds Suri Alpacas.  She demonstrates spinning and weaving at several reenactments\, including Feast of Hunter’s Moon\, Colonial Market Days\, and Kohkohmah.  In 2022 and 2023\, Beth’s hand spun yarn won Judge’s Choice award at Suri Network National Fleece Show. \nCost: $63.00. This cost covers registration and all necessary materials. \nSkill Level: Recommend having spinning experience\, age 12 and older. \nClass Size: Minimum 1 student\, maximum 5 students (unless you bring your own spinning wheel). \nLocation: Kuns Cabin in the Canal Park Pioneer Village. \nTerms and Conditions: \n\nRegistration and payment are required at least two weeks prior to the class dates.\nAll classes require pre-registration and pre-payment.\nTo reserve your spot and pre-pay by check\, please mail a check to Canal Park\, attn: Classes\, 1030 N. Washington Street\, Delphi\, IN 46923. Please identify your desired class(es) in the check’s memo. A fee will be charged for returned checks. \nWe reserved the right to cancel classes if minimum registrations are not met.  If we cancel a class\, students can transfer without a penalty.  A full refund (minus credit card fees) will be given to students who do not wish to transfer to another class. \nStudents may cancel or transfer classes up to two weeks prior to a class without losing their payment (minus credit card fees).  Deadline to register is two weeks prior to class.\nStudents may cancel their registration until two weeks prior to the class date. After this two week deadline\, there will be no refunds or transfers.\nIf a student transfers to another class prior to the two weeks of class\, a 20% transfer fee will be charged.  The transfer must be for a class within one year of the original class.

DESCRIPTION:Description: Make a needle felted snowman approximately 4-5” tall.  The snowman can be used as an ornament\, and students will make two of them to take home. \n \nWhen: Saturday\, October 12\, 9:00AM – 1:00PM. \nInstructor: Karen Bradshaw. About 20 years ago at Fiber Fest\, Karen got instructions for wool felting and has enjoyed creating different items ever since. She has many handmade wool felted creations on her Christmas tree\, and she looks forward to helping you learn to make your own ornaments. \nCost: $70.00.
