Refunds will be manually processed within 3 business days.

  • Cancellations made 8+ days prior to your reservation will receive a refund minus any credit card transaction fee and a $10 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made 1-7 days prior to your reservation will receive a refund minus any credit card transaction fee and the first night’s fee.
  • Cancellations made on the day of your reservation or later will receive no refund.
Campground Rules
  • Maximum 6 people and 2 vehicles per site. Visitors may park in the Interpretive Center parking lot.
  • One camping unit is permitted per site. An extra tent may be pitched on a site if the tent is for your children under 18 years of age. In all other cases, extra tents will be charged the primitive camping rate.
  • May-September guests should check in with the Camp Host, Roger, located in Site A just behind the main building. The Camp Host will show you to your site and help you with any questions you may have. Otherwise, please contact director@canalcenter.org with any questions or concerns.

  • Dumpster is located just behind our main building (the Interpretive Center). Dispose of your trash in the dumpster so your site is cleared for the next guest. Please do not leave any trash in your fire ring.
  • Restroom and shower facilities are available from May through October. Showers are to remain locked at all times. Restrooms are open dawn to dusk. Camping guests may use these facilities any time day or night using the door keypad code provided at check in.
  • Pets are welcome at our park, but they must be kept on a leash whenever they are outside. Pets are not allowed inside the buildings in the park. Please pick up after your pet.
  • Fires should be kept reasonably small and within the provided fire rings. Only firewood may be burned–no trash. Please do not move the fire rings.
  • Firewood may be brought from outside the park, and there are nearby vendors who sell firewood.
  • Generators are not to be used in the park.
  • Be aware that your GPS may direct you across steep railroad tracks. Especially if you’re driving a big rig, check our website’s camping page for an alternative route that avoids this railroad crossing.
